Best Spring and Summer Wedding Guest Dresses
I have been so M.I.A. on the blog. The combination of too many irons in the fire with ministry, work, my relationship, side hustling and launching a couple of new businesses has made it easy to be distracted from blogging. Add to that, sometimes Instagram is sometimes a more fun place to create and engage. It spells one thing...blog neglect, baby. But I'm back! With good reason too. My grumpy guy is on his third groomsmen gig in a six-month time frame, which leads me on the hunt for more wedding guest dresses. Shopping for the Spring on the West Coast is much more fun than shopping for the Fall on the East Coast. No dig there, I'm just a warm-weather girl - in every way. Surely I'm not the only one with multiple weddings to attend this year. I've resurfaced to share some of the gorgeous and best spring and summer wedding guest dresses for all of your wedding invitations. I work hard so you don't have to *wink*!
The ruffle sleeve dress you see pictured is one of my favorites. For one it is a forgiving silhouette. You can be as relaxed as you want and not be concerned with "sucking it in" for hours. It is flattering to most body types and the shoulder-baring style is both subtly sexy and feminine. Check out this ruffled bandeau dress for a pop of color. This smooth silhouette by Lovers + Friends comes in a couple of colors but the "Strawberry" color is the best. I love the neckline on this one; the shoulders are exposed but not entirely off-the-shoulder.
I place this next dress firmly in the "push the envelope" category. Only because of that unwritten rule about the bride being the only person who should wear white. So many brides don't wear white anymore and rules are made to be broken. So, if you don't mind being a renegade and looking amazing while doing so, this is the dress for you! Technically the shade is ivory. I love, love, love the tiers of fringe and the halter neckline. It is definitely a dress to remember. It tops my list as one of the best spring and summer wedding guest dresses, or a dress to have on hand when you don't mind a few extra eyeballs on you!
The colors of this LIKELY dress are what first caught my attention. They are so vibrant and perfect for the season. The coral tone is summer ready and the teal shade works for spring or summer weddings. The flouncy detail across the neckline is subtle and accents the fitted bodice beautifully. It is chic and elegant, perfect to wear to spring and summer weddings. LIKELY is one of my favorite brands for accentuating curves. The dresses flatter my hard-earned curves instead of making them look distorted or ill-fitting.
This fun, little number by Dress the Population comes in four colors also - surely there is a color that makes you say "that's the one!" My favorite is the cobalt blue, but there is also black (play it safe and get lots more wear), a cherry red and a magenta shade. This dress happens to be on sale as of this writing so sizes will be disappearing if you like this trimming, bodycon design. The back looks just as good as the front, FYI. Check it out!
I've got to slip in this jumpsuit because it is stylish, beautiful and looks like a comfortable option to wear to spring and summer weddings. The jumpsuit has side-slant pockets and an open back with cami straps. You will look amazing coming and going in this jumpsuit. If pink is not your color, there is a darker berry shade available as well.
I could not have a list of the best spring and summer wedding guest dresses without including the color of the season. A shade of the color of the season anyway, lilac. The crochet-like trim details and open back are gorgeous accents to complement the color of the season. There are many colors to choose from however this lilac shade screams "wedding."
All of these dresses have some great shelf life and they definitely aren't limited to weddings. You can wear them to cocktail parties (those are still a thing, right) or any other social occasions when you want to bring your style "A-game." I hope you found a solid option and more importantly I hope you have an amazing time celebrating love! Enjoy the weddings.
