Renee Rouleau Skincare

I am often complimented on my skin and asked what kind of foundation I use. This generally surprises me because while I think my skin looks fine but I certainly don't think I have flawless skin.

Like most women I suffer an occasional hormonal breakout and if I indulge in too much sugar (hello iced lattes), a cyst may appear. However I have truly found my answer to a skincare regimen that allows me to skip the powder and foundation and embrace my natural look. I love my skin to breathe, so I save the dusting of powder or bronzer for a special night out.

Renee Rouleau Skincare has allowed me to clean up the few problem areas I dealt with like mild hyperpigmentation that naturally occurred after my acne spot clear. I have a classic case of oily/combination skin (specifically oily in my T-zone area). On the Renee Rouleau Skincare website I was able to answer a series of questions about my skin and its symptoms. The end result was a regimen and/or products compatible for my skin (there are nine skin types on the site). I have tried a lot of brands, as I'm sure you have too, and I was initially hesitant to invest in the Renee Rouleau Skincare line. It sounded too good too be true. My skin is so happy I did.

I did not buy all the products recommended - it's overwhelming - there are a lot. I focused on the essentials for me. A cleanser that makes my skin feel incredibly hydrated yet does not clog my pores, the Aloe Cleansing Milk. I find it to be very calming. I also think it's important to have a nourishing moisturizer that is not greasy and absorbs well. The bonus is the Renee Rouleau Sheer Moisture is full of antioxidants. I can definitely see and feel a difference if I don't apply a thin layer before going to bed at night.

My secret potion is the BHA Clarifying Serum. It is a mild exfoliant that helps to reduce bacteria while improving the texture and skin clarity. It's hard to choose a favorite but this one may tie with the Anti-Cyst Treatment. I like to pair these two for amazing results at the first sign of an acne cyst. Other than a painful cortisone shot, NOTHING has worked better for me. NOTHING!

To make sure I keep my skin well protected I finish with the Daily Protection SPF 30 - no matter the weather.
