Chunky Sweater - Fall Weather
What's better than sweater weather? Cable knit pullover sweaters, that's what. These sweaters are my version of a chunky sweater that still keep me warm when the fall weather is bordering on winter weather and when I'm still trying to get away with not wearing a jacket.
I live for these sorts of chunky sweaters - or cable knit sweaters -during the fall weather (and winter months) because I can layer a fitted t-shirt underneath without creating a bulky appearance. Just a bit more warmth and barrier (even though this sweater is cotton). I also tend to buy most of my clothes "true-to-size;" I don't like anything to drape or hang off of me. Sweaters included. Although this chunky sweater has just a bit of drape, it also fits a bit close. It's the best of both worlds.
This particular Gap sweater comes in 9 great shades, perfect for the fall weather and winter transition. The marled blue is eye catching, as is the color I'm wearing, pink marled. Both shades of grey, heather and charcoal are great staple colors for the wardrobe.
Frankly, for a couple of years I had not paid much attention to Gap, I did not care for the style. They have won me over again over the past year. I love quality pieces and a bargain. I feel like I achieved both with the investment of several of these chunky sweaters (you read that correctly, several). If something works, why stop at one, right?
If you are looking for grey ankle boots and let's face it, they are hard to find, try this Sam Edelman pair. I also found a very similar pair to the ones I'm wearing by Michael Kors.
Enjoy this sweater weather!
