Short Shorts

This is one of those, no "fear of missing out" looks. Short shorts. I used to rebuke them. Not that I didn't like them, because I did and I still do. I just bought into the hype that my curvy hips, thicker, slightly muscular thighs did not have a home in short shorts - not this style any way. Fitted and curve hugging. The time or two I've dared to bare my thighs, I've noticed the double takes or the sideways glances from women (not complimentary glances). I've certainly noticed the looks bestowed to other women similarly built to me.

Short shorts are customarily reserved for the leggy and lithe - just a bit more straight up and down with not too much of an accentuation on the hips. This is the body frame dominating ads and social media. I'm a firm believer in owning and loving the skin you're in (though that has taken me a bit of time). It doesn't matter to me that I don't fit the prototype, if I feel good, I like it and it is not pushing the limits of tasteless...I am going to wear my short shorts and whatever else I deem appropriate. I only want to be guilty of lifting another woman up or making her feel great about her fabulous self - including YOU!
