Fall means so many things to me when it comes to creating looks I find stylish. I get to play with rich colors, have fun with layered pieces and leather looks and put together style inspirations using the great textures of fall/winter jeans.
Coated jeans that give the illusion of leather are some of my favorites. The coated jeans are not as hot or as restrictive as leather pants but still provide all the sleekness. The brands have versatile colors with some great depth out for the fall. I've found a beautiful chestnut brown, olive green, the most amazing metallic purple coated jeans and a rich red as a sample of the colors. I can't leave out the obligatory black coated jeans. A very simple way to give your look some edge.
For a casual but effective look I paired my coated jeans with a simple, cotton, crew-neck sweatshirt from Banana Republic. The sweatshirt sits right on the hip (mine is a size small). For this style I knotted it in the back to keep with the uniformity of the skinny, coated jeans.
The platform heels I am wearing with these jeans are sold out however you can find a very similar style here (click hyperlink).
