Top Six Fit and Flare Dresses

Fit and flare dresses are one of my favorite summer styles. Scratch that - fit and flare dresses are one of my favorite all-season styles. They've got my three Fs of fashion. Fun. Flirty. Flattering. This style of dress is a staple in my wardrobe and I have many in all styles and colors in heavy rotation. I'm a fan of the ruffled hem because it's both chic and innocent. Fit and flare dresses (including 5 out of 6 of them in my top 6 collection) are also easy transition pieces. Layer on a duster, kimono or a cute blazer and you are all set in the event you need to have a more complete look or when you are battling the chill of fall weather. Bonus points - these dresses are so easy to match with your body type.

Top Six Fit and Flare Dresses

Likely

If a dress had to be bae, this Likely dress would be chosen. I'm smitten over the silhouette and of course the flouncy, ruffle hem. It has a bit of cut-out back detail at the lower back. It's a beauty. It is available in the pink (pictured) and navy and it is selling like Krispy Kreme donuts with the "hot now" light.

BCBGMAXAZRIA

BCBG is a classic and this dress is without exception. I'm a huge fan of the vibrant, magenta color. If a pop of color is really your thing, this will be a crowd-pleaser. The icing on the cake is the racerback details with cutouts. You simply have to see it to get the full effect. It's still a multi-purpose, fit and flare dress though. Add a complementary-colored, jacket of your choosing and you are ready to rock.

Halston Heritage

It is all about the drama with this Halston dress. The asymmetric hem with contrasting color is such a simple yet bold look. I absolutely love that this dress is round neck in the front and scoop neck in the back - yet another contrast. Unlike the other dresses, if you show up to work in this one, you might get glares for all the wrong reasons. This is one of those show up and make a statement dresses.

Likely

Likely is back on the list with a bit of a contemporary silhouette. This fit and flare dress is much more flounce style with ruffled trim at the neckline and waist. Speaking of neckline, I'm digging the V-neck. It's just the right amount of sass.

Free People

The eyelet details around the waist and the front and back V make this red, hot and lightweight dress a favorite. If you like red and the tones in this dress flatter your complexion, this is a cute semi-casual look for your collection. I'm extra excited that it is hand-washable.

Elizabeth & James

The last of the top six fit and flare dresses to round out my list is this chic option by Elizabeth and James. The brand did not fall short on color options (black, rose and white),  the pretty neutral tones - and classic style. This simple and timeless dress will carry you through years. It's definitely a style staple.

In my my opinion, less is more with the fit and flare dress. It doesn't take much to make the dress look great. The structure and design  of the dress speaks for itself. Of course accessories and embellishments will not detract from how amazing you will look. To each her own!
