Chic and edgy

I love pants suits and dig it when I see a lady "suit up." Done well, it looks powerful without communicating any words. I especially love to update this look by deconstructing it a bit and making it more chic and edgy. By pairing the blazer with denim, especially mildly distressed denim in a monochromatic theme, I keep the look and feel of a suit without the structure.

Neutral or metallic is my favorite way to accessorize this chic and edgy look. I've found that when I try and style it with black it can look like a uniform. Sometimes I like to add a very bold and unexpected color like green but nothing feels more right to me than neutral or metallic.

My preference is for a more tailored look, like the DVF blazer. I've linked very cute alternative to the blazer below. I do like the slouchy blazer also though; I just buy it to fit so it looks more sleek. The exact heels are by Charles David (they are so comfortable and better in person). Check those out and the alternate pair. What are some of your tricks to make your pant suits more stylish? Share!

Thanks for journeying with me and keep it fab loves!
