Grey and nude

While I definitely do not agree that grey is the new black, I certainly appreciate the chic versatility of the color. I don't think about grey as 'somewhere in between.' In the past couple of years it has made it has become a staple color for the wardrobe - a favorite neutral. I love combining one neutral color with another. My favorite neutral combination is grey and nude. The colors go together in such harmony (in my mind I'm singing the chorus to Ebony and Ivory "living in perfect harmony"). It doesn't matter to me where the color falls on the greyscale, I think it looks AMAZING with a nude tone.

I hate the thought of putting away all my nude strappy heels for the winter. It just means I have to wear a lot of grey and nude styles before snowfall. I have found some ankle boots that would be great substitutes for my heels, I just get so anxious about ruining the suede. Yep, this is a first world problem struggle, I realize this. LOL.

In a very close second I think grey and blush looks so good together. I have to be very specific though. I am particular about how 'blush.' I like it on the lesser side of pink, just enough to know it's pink, but not "in-your-face" pink.

As I share this, I am thinking about this lush, over-sized nude tone sweater I passed up on. I have what I think would be the perfect way to wear it with some grey and mixed metal accessories. I hope it's not too late!
