I used to steer clear of wearing red. I did not find it a flattering color for me at all. It took me a while to realize I was selecting the wrong undertones to complement my color. That was my game-changer and now there is no turning back. Don't get me wrong, I don't have an abundance of the color. It's just now when I see too-cute-to-pass-up wardrobe pieces like this red skirt, I am far more likely to give it a try.
I would also love to style this red skirt with a printed bodysuit or blouse with red tones woven throughout the blouse. I have a clear image in my mind of what I'd like, the fun will now be to find one (or two). *wink*
Another look that has some appeal to me is the addition of chestnut colored, over-the-knee boots with a similarly shaded sweater. I think it would create a pretty color pairing with this red skirt.
Yes, the color is bold but it's pretty easy to tone down, it just depends on the way it's styled.
